In 2017, Chanel celebrates Gabrielle, known as Coco. Karl Lagerfeld dedicates a bag to her, the Gabrielle de Chanel, which was first presented last October for the Spring-Summer 2017 collection. In autumn 2017, the Maison will also launch a perfume named Gabrielle Chanel.
It is the name Gabrielle, which belonged to a conquering woman who turned her rebellion into art, that best describes her. And again during 2017, this name will inspire four chapters to be discovered on the Inside Chanel website, dedicated to rebellion, freedom, passion and allure: all values that strongly characterised Gabrielle Chanel's life and are still a source of inspiration for all women today. More than Coco the creator, it is Gabrielle the woman who is at the heart of the Chanel story.
The first chapter of this tetralogy, 'Gabrielle, an authentic rebel', will be unveiled on www.insidechanel.com tomorrow, Wednesday 22 February.
