Omega inaugurates the Foro Italico Boutique

Omega inaugura la Boutique del Foro Italico

The World Swimming Championships Rome 2009 officially began, opening with the first competitions, the diving competitions, which were followed by the celebrations at the opening ceremony.

Omega, Official Timekeeper of the event, inaugurated his boutique in the Foro Italico village on Thursday 16, in the presence of the actress Caterina Murino, special patroness, and Massimiliano Rosolino, the brand's new ambassador, from whom we expect great results for the next competitions (and of whom you will find an interview in the next issue of L'OROLOGIO in August/September, no. 180). Also present with them were Mustafà Larfaoui, President of FINA, and Giovanni Malagò, President of the Roma09 Organising Committee.

Another special guest was the great champion Alex Popov.

Regarding the initiative, Omega President Stephen Urquhart said: "The Omega team is delighted to be in Italy for the inauguration of this boutique, which will welcome visitors during the Championships. The fact that we are here in the company of Giovanni Malagò and Mustafà Larfaoui in preparation for Roma09 is particularly gratifying. Omega has a long-standing partnership with the major water sports industry and with champions of these disciplines, such as Massimiliano Rosolino: Roma09 will certainly be the setting for some new world records.
