Omega presents two new Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional, featuring a 'reverse panda' dial and available with a steel or 18-carat Moonshine gold case and bracelet.
The Speedmaster of Omega is a watch that certainly needs no introduction, having been, among other things, the watch worn on the wrists of the astronauts of the Apollo 11 mission, the first to reach the lunar surface in 1969. The Biel-based company starts the New Year by presenting two new versions of the famous Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional, featuring a black lacquered 'step' dial with contrasting white counters (commonly referred to as 'reverse panda').
This dial is arranged on a double plate. The upper plate features a glossy black finish lacquered and painted, which guarantees an excellent lustre. The counters are arranged in rhodium-plated frames, while the base of the counters has a white lacquered finish.
This colour contrast is not only an aesthetic choice, but also a functional one: the minute track on the main dial is white, while in the counters it appears in black, optimising readability and creating a visually striking aesthetic.
In addition, these new Omega Speedmasters have the black ceramic bezel (with the historic 'dot over ninety' design), on which the tachymeter scale is enamelled in white. The 'box-type' sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment protects the dial, ensuring optimal visibility in all light conditions. The bracelets, with their polished and brushed finish, maintain the traditional Moonwatch style and integrate the practical Omega's patented adjustment systemoffering comfort and versatility at the wrist.
