Omega: four new Speedmasters

Omega presents a new Speedmaster Grey Side of the Moon with a skeleton dial reproducing the surface of the earth's satellite and three new Speedmasters Dark Side of the Moon.

Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon

Omega launches four new Speedmasters, three from the Dark Side of the Moon collection and one from the Grey Side of the Moon collection. These new models celebrate the legacy of Apollo 8. In 1968, Apollo 8 became the first manned flight to orbit the Moon. When command module pilot Jim Lovell spoke his last words before losing radio contact ('See you on the other side'), every astronaut on board was wearing an Omega Speedmaster. This historic moment continues to inspire the Dark Side of the Moon and Grey Side of the Moon collections, which represent the perfect marriage of spatial tradition and watchmaking innovation.

Twelve years after the debut of the first Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon, Omega is therefore introducing three new variants in the collection with a 44.25 mm black ceramic case featuring slimmer profiles, the result of four years of development and refinement. The heart of the innovation lies in the new beveled and polished ceramic process, which creates surfaces of great depth and brilliance.

The double-layered ceramic dial construction offers beautiful depth, while the laser-brushed finish captures and reflects light in a spectacular manner. Enhanced Liquidmetal technology appears on bezels and crowns, ensuring superior durability and scratch resistance.
