The 2025 edition of the Watch of the Year closed with an evening of sharing, celebrating fine watchmaking. Among the award-winners many confirmations but also pleasant new-entries.
Around 40,000 votes: the highest number recorded to date, which already says everything about the energy that has been created around the 2025 edition of theClock of the Yearthe only Italian award in this sector, realised with the sponsorship of Vicenzaoro. 'Popular' in the best sense of the word.
No unreachable juries, no decisions taken behind closed doors: it is the real enthusiasts who choose, those who live, dream and discuss watches over coffee or online. This, perhaps, is the beauty of our award: each vote has the flavour of genuine participation. No filter, just pure passion translated into numbers that speak for themselves.
The award ceremony, as always, is an opportunity to celebrate a year of fine watchmaking together with many friends, industry professionals, colleagues and enthusiasts with whom to share a special moment. No lofty speeches or congealed atmospheres: just the pleasure of meeting, sharing, commenting and raising our glasses while tasting the excellent wines of the Livio Felluga winery.
What's new this year? The location: Ceresio 7 Pool & Restaurant, a scenic venue with a beautiful terrace overlooking the Milan skyline, among warm lights in a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere.
On 18 November, Ceresio 7 hosted our watchmaking party, organised in collaboration with Jacopo Spangaro, founder of Spangaro & Co. Auctions and art director of Your Time magazine, which chronicles the world of vintage watchmaking with an unprecedented slant. This special tabloid was one of the great novelties in this year's issue of our magazine.
In the issue, due out in December, you will also find a special comic strip, drawn for us by Riccardo Nunziati and Sara Gentile: an imaginary chat between Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf and Patek Philippe Chairman Henri Stern before the birth of the Nautilus. It is, of course, a work of fiction with which we wanted to pay homage to two great watchmaking personalities.
