For decidedly 'important' wrists, here is the Plongeur C-Type 48 mm, the first oversize from Paul Picotan absolute novelty at the recently concluded Basel Show. Available in a limited edition of 200 pieces for the version with titanium case and bezel, lugs, crown, push-buttons and buckle in 18-carat rose gold (as for the model in the photo), 500 for the version in titanium and black bezel, and a further 500 for the version using only titanium, the exclusive model is powered by a self-winding chronograph movement, Valjoux 7753 base, and is chronometer-certified by the COSC. The dial, with luminescent hour markers and Arabic numerals, is distinguished by the presence of two superimposed planes, the upper one in carbon, with a sporty look, and the lower one decorated with guilloché. Enclosed by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, the Plongeur C-Type 48 mm is fitted with a black rubber strap and is water-resistant to 30 atmospheres.
