For a noble cause

F.P. Journe donated an Octa Automatique at the charity auction organised by Action Innocence.

Auctioned for the incredible sum of one million Swiss francs was the Octa Automatique, a unique piece donated by F.P. Journe to the charity gala organised by Action Innocence, a foundation set up in 1999 in Geneva with the aim of raising awareness of the dangers of Internet use, particularly in relation to paedophile crime.

The watch, with an exclusive dial created for the occasion that echoes similar themes to the Tourbillon Souverain, the Élégante and the Chronomètre Optimum donated to the foundation in 2015 and 2017, displays off-centre hours, minutes and seconds at 3 o'clock and a large instantaneous date display just above.

All around a platinum case housing the Octa 1300.3 automatic calibre, which guarantees a chronometric accuracy of 120 hours and an exceptional 160-hour power reserve; the rose gold rotor is visible through the sapphire crystal opening in the case back.
