Perrelet has created a unique watch for the Peace & Sport Association, a special edition of the iconic Turbine watch that was auctioned off on 22 May at the event organised by the Association at the Salon Ledoyen in Paris. The funds raised will be used to finance the organisation's charitable projects. Sensitive to its ambassador Christian Karembeu's commitment to Peace & Sport, Maison Perrelet offered a unique piece. The ceremony took place in the presence of Joël Bouzou, President and founder of Peace & Sport, Laura Flessel, Champion for Peace, and Joëlle Esculier, Director of the French branch of the Perrelet brand. The Perrelet Peace & Sport watch is equipped with an automatic movement with a double rotor, which takes the characteristic shape of a 12-bladed wheel spinning freely above the dial. Completely dressed in black, this unique piece features the logo of the Peace & Sport association on the sapphire crystal of the case back. A man of great generosity, Christian Karembeu supports numerous charitable works. As part of Peace & Sport, the Peace through Sport organisation, Karembeu is one of the members of the club of Peace Champions - a total of 66 top international athletes - who devote their time to promoting the practice of sport as an instrument of education and a bearer of social stability in the world. Peace & Sport was created in 2007 by Joël Bouzou, Olympic medallist and modern Pentathlon champion. The association works to build lasting peace in the world by promoting the practice of sport and spreading its values to the younger generations. Peace & Sport intervenes in areas made vulnerable by extreme poverty, conflict or the absence of social cohesion. The apolitical organisation is based in the Principality of Monaco and is an international initiative placed under the High Patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco.
