After the launch in 2010 of the Sunray Power Reserve and Wales Lunar Phases Calibre 9231 models, the world of Philip Watch complications is enriched this year by two new references created for the 2011-2012 autumn/winter season: the Sunray Régulateur and the Sunray Hand-Wound. The former, like all regulators, has a single central hand for measuring minutes and two dials for hours and seconds, placed at 12 and 6 o'clock respectively. The case is round, the dial is decorated with Arabic numerals, contrasting with the Roman numerals of the hour quadrant, and the movement is automatic (price: €1,980). The second model, manual as its name suggests, has a screw-down case back and leather strap; the white dial features large Arabic numerals and a small seconds counter at 6 o'clock (price: 720 euros).
