Piaget also lends its support to Only Watch, the charity auction held every two years in the Principality of Monaco to raise funds for research into Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The latter is a disease characterised by the gradual weakening of muscles, resulting in respiratory and cardiac problems that can prove fatal in children. For the occasion, the watchmaker is presenting an exclusive version of the Altiplano squelette, with an 18-carat white gold case treated with black PVD and an extra-flat squelette mechanical movement with manual winding made by Piaget 838S. The sapphire crystal case back is personalised with the inscription "Only Watch 2011". The watch is a unique piece, made especially for this charity auction.
