"The Biennial is destined to become a must-attend event for Piaget in the jewellery world," commented Philippe Léopold-Metzger, CEO Piaget, the Maison's first participation in the 25th edition of the Biennale des Antiquaires in Paris, from 15 to 22 September 2010. For the occasion, the House will be exhibiting sixty extraordinary haute joaillerie and horological creations, an expression of its technical expertise and creativity. The Piaget stand, located in the Allée des Joailliers (the Street of the Jewellers) in the centre of the Grand Palais hosting the Biennial, is inspired by a real haute couture atelier: On the blue walls are sketches reminiscent of those used in a fashion show, before the clothes make their entrance on the catwalk; in the showcases, precious stones glitter amidst threads, silk ribbons, beautiful lace and sewing needles; before the fitting, the jewellery is presented on Stockman mannequins with Piaget branding. There is no shortage of watches, such as the Piaget Polo Tourbillon Relatif, a model with a mobile tourbillon cage, suspended over the minute hand, and embellished with almost 730 diamonds.
