Piaget and Borsa Italiana: a commitment to art

Piaget renews its commitment as patron of the Fine Arts by taking part in the 'Revelations -Finance for Fine Arts' initiative promoted by Borsa Italiana to restore and maintain Italy's artistic heritage through the restoration and digitisation of works of art. After having financed the restoration and overhaul of the mechanisms of precious clocks in the city of Venice (including the clock of the Clock Tower and the clock of the Doge's Palace), Piaget celebrates its historical passion for the lagoon city by supporting Borsa Italiana in the restoration of a work of the Gallerie dell'Accademia in Venice. The Galleries constitute the most important collection of Venetian paintings from the 14th to the 18th century: masterpieces by the most famous masters such as Bellini, Giorgione, Carpaccio, Titian, Tintoretto, Veronese and Tiepolo are preserved there.

The initiative, now in its second year and made possible also thanks to the invaluable support of the Italian Committee for Venice, was presented during an evening event at the opening of the Venice Biennale, one of the oldest, most important and prestigious international contemporary art exhibitions in the world and the ideal stage to promote the project.
