Piaget presents the 'Master in Ultra-Thin Major Complications' application for iPad and iPhone. It is a free interactive application that offers the chance to embark on a journey of discovery of the brand's ultra-thin models with major complications. Designed for enthusiasts, collectors and Haute Horlogerie experts, the interactive digital experience showcases the world's thinnest minute repeater self-winding movement, the 1290P. It also reveals how the teams from the two integrated manufactures have succeeded with this timepiece in achieving a double record for subtlety, that of the world's thinnest automatic minute repeater movement at 4.8 mm (407 components) and that of the world's thinnest automatic minute repeater watch at just 9.4 mm. Browsing through the application's functions, users will also be able to play the watch and enjoy the purity of the sound reproduced extremely accurately.
While the graphics and overall design emphasise the aesthetics of the timepieces, the application also offers useful technical information that is accessible with a simple tap by the user. Along with the Minute Repeater, other iconic grand complications developed by Piaget such as the Perpetual Calendar, Chronograph and the world's thinnest hand-wound Tourbillon are also represented.
