Ralph Lauren at Sihh 2015 is launching its first skeleton movement, the manual calibre RL1967, which features black finishing on the plate and bridges. The Maison presents it in an example from the Automotive collection, which draws its inspiration from an exclusive car, the 1938 Bugatti 57SC Atlantic Coupé, of which only four examples are known to exist in the world. The case, in sand-blasted black steel, contrasts with the bezel made of amboine burl, a material that requires expert cutting and finishing to highlight its rich, sinuous grain, used in luxury car interiors. The Ralph Lauren RL Automotive Squelette is on sale for €28,700.
