At Sihh 2014, a new prestigious complication, the Flying Tourbillon, joins Ralph Lauren's Automotive models, inspired by the 1938 Bugatti 57 SC Atlantic Coupé from the famous designer's collection (the tourbillon was first introduced by the brand last year in the RL67 Safari model). The Flying Tourbillon Automotive, visible through an aperture at 6 o'clock, is supported only at the bottom of the cage and appears as if suspended through a special cantilever construction. In homage to the Bugatti dashboard, the outer part of the dial is made of elm burl, veined in various shades.
