In this 2019, Roger Dubuis has led the universe of watchmaking to new horizons, thanks in part to the use of bold materials such as carbon. Drawing inspiration from other industries, such as technology, as well as art, the Maison has produced a series of pioneering timepieces, both aesthetically and technically, designed for connoisseurs of exceptional objects. Aficionados of avant-garde watchmaking will particularly appreciate the most recent novelty created within the Manufacture's R&D department, the ultra-light Excalibur Spider Carbon³. For the first time, Roger Dubuis has thus created a timepiece offering a structure made entirely of carbon. From the case to the calibre, via the bracelet, the Excalibur Spider Carbon³ is composed mainly of multilayer carbon elements. This mechanical feat, playing with the many constraints imposed by carbon in such a small space, allows the weight to be kept down even further. Light and comfortable to wear, the Excalibur Spider Carbon³ weighs a mere 81 grams. Embodying one of the paradoxes so dear to Roger Dubuis, the Excalibur Spider Carbon³ also features a major complication, a symbol of the Geneva-based company's excellent watchmaking savoir-faire: the skeletonised flying tourbillon, whose upper cage is also made of carbon. Extremely light and extremely comfortable, this watch has firmly established itself on the Haute Horlogerie scene with its limited edition of 28 watches sold worldwide exclusively in Roger Dubuis boutiques. The Excalibur Spider Carbon³ features an interchangeable strap and rubberTech crown and is Poinçon de Genève certified.
