Rolex - Number one in the Superbrands Expert Council ranking

The 2012 Superbrands top list, which has rewarded the trendy brands most appreciated by consumers since 2003, sees Rolex take first place for the first time, beating out no less than giants such as Coca Cola and Google, ranked second and third respectively. "A Superbrand is one that consistently delivers excellence and quality," explains Stephen Cheliotis, chairman of Superbrands Expert Copuncil. Superbrands, The Independent Authority on Branding, is considered a unique initiative, a project of the highest standard and is internationally recognised as the 'Business Bible' of brands.

Brands are chosen through a survey of 2,000 British adults by the Centre for Brand Analysis, who are asked to select their favourite brand according to these criteria: a Superbrand is one that has achieved the best reputation in its field; that offers customers significant emotional and/or tangible advantages over its competitors; that customers want and recognise.
