An Italian at the helm of the Crowned House.
The Board of Directors of Rolex SA has appointed a new General Manager: he is Gian Riccardo Marini, former CEO of Rolex Italia SpA, who replaces Bruno Meier.
Born in Milan on 3 February 1947, in 1972 Marini joined the family business, Romalo SpA, which had been involved in the distribution of the Rolex brand in Italy since the very early post-war period and which would later give rise to Rolex Italia. Three years later he was appointed Managing Director, in 1980 Sales Director and in 2000 Managing Director of Rolex Italia S.p.A.
The Board of Directors also decided to appoint Daniel Neidhart, currently General Manager of Rolex Hong Kong, as Director of Rolex subsidiaries worldwide. Gian Riccardo Marini and Daniel Neidhart officially assumed their new positions yesterday.
