On 1 December, Rolex kicked off nominations for the Rolex Awards for Enterprise 2018, a project aimed at Young Leaders seeking support to promote their initiatives to make the world a better place. Nominations for the 2018 Rolex Awards are open to people of all nationalities, aged between 18 and 30, who have developed proposals that expand our knowledge of the world and improve the quality of life on Earth. Entries must relate to one of the following three subject areas: Environment, Applied Science and Technology and Exploration. The five winners will receive 100,000 Swiss francs each, twice the amount of the prize money previously awarded to the Young Laureates. The Young Leaders will also receive a Rolex chronometer. By 30 June 2017, nominees can submit their application for the Rolex Awards 2018 online at rolexawards.com.
