Available in green and blue versions, each produced in a limited series of 200, the new F-80 Skeleton Sustainable has a 41 mm steel case with black IP treatment. The automatic movement can be seen from the caseback side, and the skeleton dial, on which the "double Gancini" symbol, the brand's historical signature, is highlighted. The aforementioned movement is the Depa DP 24 calibre (Swiss Made). The strap is made of materials with a reduced environmental impact: a thin layer of FSC-certified cork covers the inner part, while the outer part is made of fabric composed of post-consumer recycled PET fibre with hole covers in vegetable-tanned leather. The buckle is a folding buckle with safety buttons. Salvatore Ferragamo's F-80 Skeleton Sustainable comes with a special packaging, also made entirely of sustainable materials: the box is made of FSC-certified cardboard, while the protective shell in wood and metal is lined with hemp on the inside and with fabric made of post-consumer recycled PET fibre on the outside. The watch cushion is made of 100% bioplastic material from sugar cane. The climate impact resulting from the production of the F-80 Skeleton Sustainable was measured according to the ISO 14067 Product Carbon Footprint standard, which quantifies emissions from all stages of its production. To obtain the carbon offsets needed to make this watch "carbon neutral", Salvatore Ferragamo has enlisted the support of Rete Clima, a non-profit organisation active in the fight against climate change, together with which it will support the Burgos Wind Project, the largest wind farm in the Philippines, thus establishing a parallel between the movement of the hands and that of the wind blades. In addition to reducing the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere by generating electricity on a large scale from a clean and renewable source, the project will create jobs and real economic opportunities for local communities. The new F-80 Skeleton Sustainable is available in Salvatore Ferragamo boutiques, at authorised dealers and online.
