Seiko presents a new 5 Sports automatic dedicated to the Pink Panther and produced in a limited and numbered edition of 9,999 pieces.
Seiko launches a new limited edition as part of the 5 Sports collection and born from the encounter with one of the most recognisable and internationally loved icons: the Pink Panther. Since his debut in the 1964 animated film 'The Pink Panther', this fictional character has captivated generations of viewers around the world with his ironic and sophisticated style.
Today, its bold and playful spirit is expressed in a watch designed to accompany everyday life with a touch of lightness and character. Based on the Seiko 5 Sports SKX model, with a 38 mm case made of steel as well as the bracelet, this timepiece captures the universe of 'The Pink Phink', the first Pink Panther animated short.
The famous scene in which the Panther repaints the Little Man's house pink is the leitmotif of this design, which is reflected in every detail of the watch. The dial, the markers on the bezel with black IP treatment and the seconds hand feature the pink hue, the symbol of the character. The dial also features the iconic footprints guiding the Little Man on his discovery of the Pink Panther. At three o'clock is a window with day and date display.
The engraved design of a pink diamond on the crown symbolically recalls the character and the famous stolen gemstone. The visual narrative continues on the screw-down caseback with pink porthole, depicting one of the most memorable scenes from the animation: the Pink Panther camouflaged against a pink-painted wall. The words 'Limited Edition' and the individual limited series number underline the exclusivity of this model, produced in a limited edition of 9,999.

The watch is driven by the Seiko automatic calibre 4R36, visible from the back side.
The aforementioned transparent screw-down back, with pink glass, reveals the Seiko automatic calibre 4R36 (21,600 vibrations per hour, 41-hour power reserve) and is enriched by the unmistakable eyes of the Pink Panther. The watch comes with a second interchangeable pink nylon strap, decorated with the Pink Panther's tone-on-tone prints and the words 'Wet Paint', taken directly from the original short film. The dial, obviously pink and protected by a Hardlex glass, houses luminescent hands and indices thanks to the use of Lumibrite.
The bezel is unidirectionally rotating and water resistance is guaranteed up to a pressure of 10 atmospheres. Finally, the special packaging, inspired by the Little Man's house being painted pink, ironically recounts their famous 'colour battle'.
