Hybrid technology is making interesting progress. In this respect, the Swiss brand Sequent offers analogue timepieces, based on the classic time reading with two hands, but with self-winding or solar-powered electronic movementswhich reflect the company's philosophy: technology, health and sustainability.

The Elektron model, with a 42 mm case, is powered by a cell that stores the energy generated by a tungsten rotor similar to that of any automatic watch. Functions, in addition to time display, include monitoring of steps, calories consumed, pulse and sleep, and possibly routes taken, but only when paired with a smartphone.

There is also a capsule collection created in collaboration with French designer Romaric André, known as seconde/seconde, in which the hand of the multifunction indicator is shaped like an ice cream cone melting on the irreverent 'Fuckin Sun!' inscription. All versions of the Elektron model are currently sold out, while the price of the Solar Charger is €735.95. Website: www.sequentworld.com; Instagram: @sequentworld.
