Sihh 2017 - Van Cleef & Arpels and the art professions

The enchanted nature of Van Cleef & Arpels comes alive in an unprecedented way with the new Lady Arpels Papillon Automate. Equipped with an exclusive automatic module that has been the subject of four patent applications by the Maison, the watch stages the beating of a butterfly's wings that, in a precious plant casket, accompanies the passing of the hours. The animation takes place on the dial, embellished with round and teardrop-cut diamonds, blue and mauve sapphires, mother-of-pearl, champlevé enamel, paillonné, plique-à-jour and curved plique-à-jour; diamonds also on the bezel and crown. The case is 38 millimetres in diameter white gold and the strap is blue alligator with a white gold buckle also set with diamonds.
