On the ski slopes with Longines

Longines is the Official Timekeeper of the Alpine Skiing World Championships to be held in Cortina from 7 to 21 February. The official watch for the competition, which due to anti-Covid restrictions will be held behind closed doors, is the Longines Spirit Chronograph in the blue dial and strap version. The former, with a sunburst decoration on the back, highlights the chronograph counters at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock, the date window between 4 and 5 o'clock and the five stars applied just below 12 o'clock that attest to the quality and reliability of the brand's movements. In this specific case, the one used is calibre L688.4, a self-winding mechanical movement with column wheel and silicon balance spring, housed in a 42-millimetre steel case. Like all models in the Longines Spirit collection, this watch features a domed sapphire crystal with multi-layered anti-reflective treatment on both sides, a large screw-down crown, a bezel set back from the side of the case middle, and an engraved back secured by six screws.
