The announcement of the partnership between TAG Heuer and the Premier League was made six months ago and in fact the Swiss watchmaker is the first Official Timekeeper in the history of the Premier League. At the request of fans around the world - who can see the Swiss watch brand during all Premier League TV broadcasts - TAG Heuer has created a special edition Aquaracer dedicated to the exciting English league. The Premier League, the flagship of English football, is the most watched football league in the world. All Premier League matches are therefore timed by TAG Heuer, both on English pitches and on TV, in 190 countries. It is an all-round partnership for the Swiss watch brand: on the pitch, the fourth man's scoreboards are now in the shape of a TAG Heuer Carrera watch. Referees have already started wearing the TAG Heuer Carrera Connected smartwatch, which provides them with assistance with its dedicated and exclusive app. Added to this is the TAG Heuer logo displayed on screen during TV broadcasts as well as on-site customer initiatives and the 'Pressure Test' that has been so popular with fans. A sporty model from the Aquaracer collection was of course chosen to wear the colours of the English league. Housed inside the 43 mm steel case is the Calibre 5 mechanical movement. The bezel is made of scratch-resistant black ceramic specially designed for this football watch: the numbers for the 45 minutes of each half of the match are lacquered white, while the 15 minutes of extra time are lacquered red. The anthracite grey dial with a soleil effect lends a particularly elegant touch. At 9 o'clock is the new Premier League logo (the famous lion) printed in white. The Match Timer inscription in the centre is further confirmation of the watch's football DNA. The baton hour markers are coated in white SuperLuminova to improve legibility at the stadium during night matches. The hour hands are rhodium-plated while the minute and seconds hands are red. And, as a final touch, the date window at 3 o'clock is fitted with a magnifying glass, another feature of sports watches, which helps to improve legibility. The screw-down case back is engraved with the Premier League lion alongside the exclusive 'Official Timekeeper' inscription. The bracelet is made of steel with integrated links.
