TAG Heuer has announced the signing of an agreement with football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo for a long-term partnership making him the brand's new ambassador. Two-time Ballon d'Or winner, Real Madrid striker and Portugal captain at the upcoming World Cup in Brazil, Cristiano Ronaldo joins the family of sportsmen and celebrities that make up the TAG Heuer ambassador team, including Hollywood actors Cameron Diaz and Leonardo DiCaprio, WTA champion Maria Sharapova, Formula One World Champion Jenson Button, World Rally Champion Sébastien Ogier, and the entire 2013 America's Cup-winning Oracle Racing USA Team, current defending champions. Past ambassadors include the likes of Brad Pitt and Uma Thurman, golfing talent Tiger Woods, legendary Formula One names from Ayrton Senna to Kimi Räikkönen, Fernando Alonso, Sebastien Vettel and Lewis Hamilton.
