TCM - Ascari Monza

To celebrate its 14th birthday, the Ferrari Club Passione Rossa has decided to make its engines roar on the track of a great racetrack, because there is no sound that can speak to the hearts of fans as much as that of a sports engine. On Sunday 24 March 2013, therefore, at the Vallelunga racetrack in Campagnano di Roma, the 2013 Festival of Speed will take place, and it will truly be a day not to be missed: Ferrari, Porsche and Lotus will battle it out on the asphalt of the Roman track, to the tune of tenths of a second. Alongside Passione Rossa, there will be the brand TCM (an acronym for TerraCieloMare), an independent Italian company that offers handcrafted watches inspired by events that have become historical thanks to the exploits of extraordinary men who, with their courage, have challenged human limits. Passione Rossa, Domina Vacanze and TCM will give life to a unique event, destined to excite and remain in the annals of history, including a challenge between a Ferrari and an acrobatic plane. On the wrists of the 2 drivers who will compete, there will be a TCM watch model Ascari Monza (pictured). Alberto Ascari was the most successful Italian driver in history. He won the Formula One World Championship twice and a total of 13 Grands Prix out of 32 disputed. At Monza, on 7 September 1952, in a Ferrari he won the Italian Grand Prix at an impressive average speed of 177 km/h and took his first World Championship title. With Monza, TCM inaugurated the Ascari series, dedicated to the Milanese driver. At the heart of the watch is a Swiss chronograph movement, while the aesthetics are reminiscent throughout of the great enterprise and the circuit.
