TCM - Charity auction

On Wednesday 23 January at 6.30 pm, at the Auditorium of the Sole 24Ore Group in Milan, a charity auction will be held in support of scientific research into cystic fibrosis. The auction, organised in collaboration with Gruppo Sole 24Ore, Orologeria Luigi Verga, Sotheby's and Carta Si Black, aims to raise funds for research into cystic fibrosis, one of the most widespread serious genetic diseases. Valuable items up for auction that, thanks to their proceeds, will provide the Foundation with support for a research project aimed at finding active therapies for the basic defect of the disease. Among them, there will also be a watch offered by TCM, an independent Italian company directed by Niccolò Lattuada and Luca Fontana that offers handcrafted watches inspired by events that have become historical thanks to the exploits of extraordinary men who, with their courage, have challenged human limits. The donated model will be the Artiglio, named after the famous steamship, one of the most important sea wreck salvage ships in the 1920s and 1930s. The massive titanium and steel case, the imposing bull's-eye glass and the helium release valve allow the Artiglio to reach a depth of around 1,000 metres, equivalent to a pressure of 100 atmospheres. The dial has a SuperLuminova treatment to allow better visibility in the dark. The strap is made of rubber.
