On 27 November, Palazzo Mezzanotte in Milan will host the international promotion initiative 'Think Business, Think Hong Kong' organised by theHong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), entity founded in 1966 with the aim of promoting, assisting and developing Hong Kong trade on a global scale. The initiative also represents the return of the campaign to Italy, in a much more extensive format than the one organised in 2014.
By virtue of the attendance of around 80 representatives from Hong Kong, including business leaders, innovators, investors and start-up entrepreneurs, the event will allow Italian companies to explore new markets, create partnerships and foster collaborations throughout Asia.

'Thanks to its legal certainty, tax efficiency and direct market access to mainland China, Hong Kong is an ideal bridge for Italian companies wishing to operate in Asia, explained Chris Lo, HKTDC's Regional Director for Europe.

The programme includes four thematic sessions, each dedicated to a strategic area reflecting the shared priorities between Hong Kong and Italy.
The first session, entitled 'Finance and Trade, highlights global economic trends, Hong Kong's role as a trade hub, advanced digital trade initiatives, success stories related to the adoption of new technologies and projects to create trade corridors linking Italy, Hong Kong and mainland China.
The session entitled 'Innovation and Technology', on the other hand, explores developments in artificial intelligence, greentech, industrial digitisation and smart city solutions, with case studies and testimonials on the most promising sectors for Italian companies interested in expanding in Asia. That denoted 'Supply Chain Service" is an insight into the strategic role of Corporate Treasury Centres in strengthening supply chain functions, to support the growth and partnerships of Italian companies in the dynamic environment of the Asian market.

Finally, there is the session 'Creative and Design", focused on promoting collaboration between Hong Kong and Italian excellence in design, lifestyle and manufacturing in Asian markets, with a focus on fashion, art and luxury - areas in which Italian creativity is intertwined with the cultural vibrancy of Asia.
Gianluca Mirante, HKTDC's Director for Italy, said: 'Think Business, Think Hong Kong is much more than an event: it is a campaign that accelerates strategic connections between two complementary economies. Italian companies will find in Hong Kong a reliable partner for innovation, growth and international expansion. The initiative represents a meeting point between institutions, companies and investors, fostering collaboration and best practices in key sectors such as innovation, finance and sustainable development.
