Tissot presents the new PRX Grendizer 50th Anniversary Special Edition, produced in a limited edition of 1,975 pieces, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the birth of UFO Robot Goldrake, created by Gō Nagai, founding father of manga culture and of the most famous anime such as Mazinga Z, Jeeg Robot of Steel and Goldrake.
After the success of the first edition of the PRX Grendizer, launched in 2024, the legend has now returned to shine. 50 years after the birth of UFO Robot Goldrake, Tissot pays tribute to this milestone with a very special timepiece. Dedicated to anime lovers and dreamers, this limited edition celebrates myths and stories that cross space and time, to keep us dreaming.
This new PRX from Tissot, with its 40 mm case and steel bracelet with black PVD treatment, embodies the energy of Goldrake, the lone hero who came from the stars to defend the Earth. The dial is dominated by an image of Goldrake in a dynamic pose, with his clenched fist stretched forward, 'ready to break through' the sapphire glass.
Detailed engravings and layered textures give the dial a sculptural appearance, enhancing the figure of the robot. Goldrake's eyes, illuminated in an intense yellow, are highlighted by the SuperLumiova that outlines their shape. The seconds hand is inspired by the famous space halberd and is made of 18-carat gold.

Inside the case of this limited edition beats the Powermatic 80 calibre, with an 80-hour power reserve and a Nivachron balance spring, designed to withstand magnetic fields and temperature variations. Guaranteed waterproof to 10 atmospheres, this new PRX is designed to accompany every adventure of daily life.
Visible through the mineral glass back, the movement conceals a hidden guardian: Goldrake himself, engraved on the oscillating mass as if watching over the mechanism. Each piece is individually numbered and bears the engraving 'Limited Edition X of 1975' on the back, a tribute to the year Goldrake first appeared on screens.
Finally, another reference to UFO Robot Goldrake also appears on the rehaut, with the Japanese engraving of the name of the famous anime.
