Tissot with Fuorisalone.it and Brera Design District

Tram Corallo_Cristina CelestinoTissot is confirmed for the fifth consecutive year as Official Timekeeper of Fuorisalone.it and Brera Design District. The constant quest for advanced functionality and innovative materials has accompanied the watch brand since its origins and is still reflected today in all its collections. The link with design traces its origins back to 1988, when the poet, artist and philosopher Ettore Sottsass chose Tissot to create a watch through which he could manifest the power of his creativity and brilliant intuition. Thus was born the Tissot Sottsass watch, which celebrates its 30th anniversary today through an exhibition open to the public during the week of the Salone at the Tissot Boutique in Corso Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan. In addition, Tissot is promoting the "CORALLO" project by Cristina Celestino, with which the designer reinterprets the historic Milanese tram 1928, which lives again in a new dreamlike dimension, amidst the surreal atmospheres of an itinerant living room from which to observe the iconic streets of the Brera district through a dynamic and contemporary vision, with precious references to the past. Interpreting the combination of different temporal epochs will be three Tissot watches from the Everytime Swissmatic collection, housed inside a special velvet-clad jewellery box exclusively designed by Cristina Celestino. Through her works, the designer demonstrates how she skilfully combines craftsmanship and contemporary vision, in an encounter between tradition and innovation that reflects the values and DNA of the Tissot watch brand.
