True to its long tradition of using the colour blue for sports watches (the first model dates back to 1969), Tudor presents the 'Navy Blue' version of the Black Bay Fifty-Eight. The name of the Black Bay Fifty-Eight "Navy Blue" obviously derives from its colour, but also from the year 1958, the year in which Tudor launched its first diver's watch that was water-resistant to 200 metres, namely reference 7924, also known as the "Big Crown". Among other aesthetic references evoking that historic watch, the Black Bay Fifty-Eight features a 39 mm diameter case that gives it the characteristic proportions of the 1950s. The blue colour applies to both the domed dial, the aluminium ring with sexagesimal scale positioned on the unidirectional rotating bezel, and the jacquard fabric strap with a silver-coloured central stripe (the watch is also available with a steel bracelet or a 'soft touch' synthetic strap). Other salient features include the famous Snowflake hands coated with SuperLuminova, the use of the Tudor manufacture calibre MT5402 with silicon balance spring and COSC-issued chronometer certificate, and a 5-year warranty. The Black Bay Fifty-Eight "Navy Blue" is water-resistant to a pressure of 20 atmospheres.
