Ulysse Nardin's novelty of the moment is the Caprice Butterfly watch, which, as its name suggests, features a butterfly in the centre of the dial: bright blue in colour, it is made using the technique known as "Enamel Champlevé", which consists of filling cavities, produced in a thick metal surface, with wet powder enamel, which is then sanded down by hand to remove the excess and allow the final colour of the enamel and its shine to come through. The resulting shades of colour are accentuated by the metal edges that define the contours of the butterfly. The 18-carat white gold case houses a self-winding mechanical movement, calibre UN-13, with a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. Embellishing the watch, a limited edition of just 28 pieces, is the presence of no fewer than 353 diamonds, totalling 3.8 carats.
