Upgrade for the Connected Golf Edition
by TAG Heuer

TAG Heuer has announced new features, including an improved and enhanced 2D and 3D mapping service and a useful tool that suggests which club to use based on shot distance for its connected watch designed for golf, the TAG Heuer Connected Golf Edition. TAG Heuer also recently partnered with professional golfer Tommy Fleetwood (pictured), who will wear the watch. The TAG Heuer Connected Golf Edition, launched in June 2020, has quickly established itself as the smartwatch of choice for the global golfing community. The company's CEO Frédéric Arnault explains: "Playing with a TAG Heuer Connected is a real game changer that will give any golfer an immediate competitive advantage without compromising on style and elegance." Professional golfer and TAG Heuer brand ambassador Tommy Fleetwood adds: "I love wear this watch, both on and off the court. Its features make the game more precise and there is no golfer who would not benefit from that. If I could define what the my favourite feature, I would say the remote shooting function, which allows me to control the performance of my drive on the golf course, taking into account the actual conditions in which I play, the release timing was perfect for me because right now I am testing my new clubs'. The TAG Heuer Golf app has always stood out visually thanks to its mapping technology, which allows users to interactively view 2D maps on the watch and realistic 3D courses from the phone. However, TAG Heuer has taken the experience to the next level with its latest update. The connected golf watch now features even more detailed updated 2D maps, including better definition of forests and individual trees. The mobile app has also had major 3D mapping improvements, both on Android and iOS, with updated views of course surfaces (water, rough, fairways, etc.) and obstacles (trees, walls, etc.). On iOS devices, TAG Heuer used Scenikit for the update, Apple's latest high-end 3D graphics framework. iOS users will also enjoy the shot trajectory simulator for better visualisation at the end of the round on their phone. These renderings are unique to the TAG Heuer Golf app and show the brand's commitment to constant innovation. The Driving Zone feature, exclusive to TAG Heuer, has met with great success since its launch, automatically showing players the landing zone of their tee shots and helping them adopt the strategy they prefer. The TAG Heuer Golf app has accurate and up-to-date maps of more than 40,000 courses around the world. Finally, one of the most interesting new features of the watch is the innovative tool that suggests the best club to use based on the distance to the target set on the map. The user can first record the distances for each of their clubs and the watch will then consider the recorded shots for an even better recommendation. The function is easily deactivated for those playing in tournaments or courses where its use is not permitted.
