For Vacheron Constantin, the 29th Sihh took place under the banner of Haute Horlogerie and emotion. At the heart of the new models presented this year is a combination of innovation, technical excellence and artistic craftsmanship. The scenography of the showcases in the space reserved for Vacheron Constantin recreated the sensations aroused by the timepieces and their respective universes. The vertigo of the tourbillon, the pride of the imperial tiger, the beats of time at two speeds, the astonishment aroused by the minute repeater and perpetual calendar, the extraordinary performance of a tourbillon with a 14-day power reserve: these and many other complications were illustrated through specific displays. In particular, with the Traditionnelle Twin Beat Perpetual Calendar, the Maison writes a new page in the history of watchmaking innovations. This model, in fact, is equipped with a dual frequency that can be controlled directly by the user, and which extends the power reserve to at least 65 days in standby mode. Thus, the display of time and calendar information is independent of whether the watch is worn or not. Two patent applications confirm the technological advances of the Traditionelle Twin Beat Perpetual Calendar. Technical excellence is also represented by the arrival of the first self-winding tourbillon in the Overseas collection: an ultra-thin movement with a peripheral rotor and 80-hour power reserve, housed in a steel case. The unique piece Les Cabinotiers with minute repeater and perpetual calendar also added new horological complexity to the Maison's history. The artistic craftsmanship, from its cantop, so dear to Vacheron Constantin has conquered the unique Mécaniques Sauvages pieces of the Les Cabinotiers department. The original display of the time on the edge of the dial made possible by the structure of the calibre 2460 G4 leaves plenty of room for the art of wood engraving and inlaying, executed entirely by hand. Finally, the Patrimony and Fiftysix lines have been enriched with new models with a blue dial, whose colour and finishing have been specifically designed and customised to match the spirit of each collection.
