Vanguart offers a solotempo with flying tourbillon in which the visionary design reaches inside the movement, influencing its architecture.
Orb, a watch created by Vanguart, a Swiss brand founded in 2017, is a solotempo equipped with a flying tourbillon and the unusual option of choosing between automatic and manual winding via the crown.
All encompassed in a totally new design that includes the displacement of the oscillating mass at the front, at 12, and the symmetrical arrangement of the bridgesvisible from the back.

The 41 mm case (available in gold and titanium, with a white rubber strap, or all-titanium, with a black rubber strap) has soft lines that create a clear continuity with the flange and the titanium oscillating weight, embellished with a diamond inlay.
The skeletonised dial is dominated by the tourbillon at 6 o'clock and the winding system indicator at 12 o'clock.
Mechanics and aesthetics
The high level of expertise of the Vanguart designers is expressed in both technique and design.
The in-house calibre with 21,600 vibrations per hour and 395 components guarantees 60 hours of power reserve. According to Axel Leuenberger, CEO of Vanguart, "the choice of charging system allows the user to interact with the watch, choosing whether he wants the diamond to be animated or stopped at 12 o'clock.
What is the inspiration behind the design of the Orb? 'The Orb sums up our watchmaking experience with sculptural and futuristic cues,' explains Creative Director Thierry Fischer.
