Wyler Vetta presents the new Chrono 130, a hand-wound chronograph with an 18-carat rose gold case produced in a limited edition of only 30 numbered pieces.
The new Crono 130 from Wyler Vetta employs a 18-carat rose gold case 37.5 mm in diameter by 10.7 mm thick (excluding glass). The proportions are faithful to those of chronographs from the first half of the 20th century, chosen for their elegance, balance and authenticity.
Inside pulses the Vetta 130 calibre, hand-wound chronograph movement derived from the historic calibre Valjoux 23, completely overhauled, finished and customised according to traditional haute horlogerie techniques. It is an approach that harkens back to the time when the great manufactures transformed established movements into identifiable and recognisable creations. The number "130" is a reference to thethe 13 lines of the movement diameter (29.5 mm), which has a thickness of 5.82 mm.
With an operating frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour and a 42-hour power reservethis calibre is embellished with high-level craftsmanship: decorated bridges and plates, polished and blued screws, precision adjustment of the balance. In addition, the sorting of chronographic functions is entrusted to a column wheel. Compared to the original model made in the 1940s, the new Chrono 130 introduces two simultaneous choices: the domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal to protect the dial and the screwed back with sapphire crystal portholewhich allows you to admire the movement.
Wyler Vetta Crono 130: limited edition of 30 pieces
This exclusive chronograph is driven by the hand-wound Vetta 130 calibre, based on the Valjoux 23.
The dial is perhaps the most evocative of this watch: made with the Gilt methodIt is the result of a complex sequence of craft processes inspired by the historical methods of the first half of the last century (double baking, galvanic bath, selective washing). The result is a deep black, from which the golden graphics naturally emerge.
Le gold hands mark the hours, minutes and chrono seconds; counters are dedicated to chrono minutes (at 3) and continuous seconds (at 9). Along the perimeter are the tachometric and telemetric scales.
At 12 o'clock are the House logo and the inscription "Chrono 130', at 6 o'clock is the historic inscription 'impermeable'. The strap in matt brown crocodile is combined with a 18K rose gold pin buckle. Finally, water resistance is guaranteed up to a pressure of 3 atmospheres.
