Zenith wins the 'Petite Aiguille' award

The prize in the "Petite Aiguille" category was won by Zenith's Pilot Big Date Special. The jury of the Grand Prix de l'Horlogerie de Genève thus rewarded the elegance and flawless functionality of this chronograph. The Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix aims to celebrate excellence in the field of watchmaking. Eleven prizes were awarded to the best creations and the most important players in the watchmaking sector. Seventy models competed in the various categories and a model from the Zenith Manufacture was awarded by the Grand Prix jury in the "Petite Aiguille" category at the awards ceremony held at the Grand Théâtre in Geneva. Through the Pilot collection, Zenith has reaffirmed its legitimacy and experience in the field of aviation. In fact, the brand has accompanied the history of aviation from its beginnings with the production of time-measuring instruments used to help pilots of aircraft in flight, in particular on-board counters. Taking over the historic chronograph from the 1960-80s, the new Pilot Big Date Special puts functionality first. The steel case, with a traditional 42 mm diameter, features alternating polished and satin-brushed finishes. The matt black dial, sandblasted five times, highlights the time information in a perfect visual balance. The small seconds counter is located at 9 o'clock, in perfect symmetry with the 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock. Both are blued. Behind the scenes, the El Primero 4010 calibre operates with exceptional regularity, its finishing visible through the sapphire glass back. The oscillating weight features an elegant Côtes de Genève decoration in the highest watchmaking tradition.
