Starring on the cover of No. 306 (June 2022) is the IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph Top Gun 'Lake Tahoe', with a white ceramic case made in collaboration with one of the leading authorities on colour: the Pantone Color Institute. The company worked with Pantone to create an entirely new range of ceramic shades, including the green 'Woodland' version. Christoph Grainger-Herr, CEO of the brand, recounts the development.
This month's Buyer's Guide is reserved for models with a mechanical movement and a sales price of less than €1,000, and we have noticed, with no little surprise, that the offer is much more varied than one might think. For collectors, all eyes are on 'The OAK Collection International Exhibition' at the Design Museum in London: 162 models on display, with many one-offs or very few examples, belonging to one person: the collector Patrick Getreide. Great attention was also paid to the record auction prices of the Royal Oak, including the one that belonged to Gérald Genta and that he bought himself.
