Venetian blind - Nereid Tungsten

Named after the Italian Royal Navy submarine of the same name launched in 1913, the new Nereide Tungsteno is a racy diver's watch made by Venezianico. The unidirectional rotating bezel on 120 snaps knurled at the edge has a ring made of tungsten, a metal characterised by its remarkable hardness, surrounding a metallic blue dial with SuperLuminova luminescent baton hands and hour markers and a date window at 3 o'clock.

This watch soberly recalls its Venetian inspiration, also underlined by the cross on the dial, which is part of the brand's logo and inspired by the one that stands out on the Renaissance Clock Tower in St. Mark's Square. Protecting the dial is a sapphire crystal. The case back, closed with screws, contributes to the excellent water-resistance rating of 20 atmospheres.

The Nereide Tungsteno is animated by the Sellita calibre 200-1 (26 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour, 38-hour power reserve), a self-winding mechanical movement, and is completed by a steel 'Canova' bracelet, inspired by neoclassical Venetian sculpture, which alternates between polished and satin-finished finishes and is fitted with a butterfly clasp.
