"Chronograph mania' for Patek

Patek Philippe 5950A

Chronographs in the spotlight this year for Patek Philippe. After presenting the new men's chronograph with the IWC-manufactured CH 29-538 PS calibre, here is a brand new declination for the ultra-flat (5.25 mm) column-wheel CHR 27-525 PS chronograph calibre launched in 2005. At BaselWorld 2010, this movement is housed in the Ref. 5950A with a coussin steel case (for the first time in the manufacture collection). Steel, therefore, also rises to the pinnacle of haute horlogerie for Patek. In addition, in Ref. 5951P, the same calibre is combined with a further complication: the perpetual calendar. The company has therefore developed a perpetual calendar module that also occupies the smallest possible space, allowing it to be just 7.3 mm thick. This time, the model is offered in 950 platinum and with a highly personalised black dial.
