Piaget inaugurates factory visits

Inaugurating the series of factory visits in 2010 (on 10 and 11 February to be precise) was the Piaget Maison, which took two members, Giampiero Di Ludovico and Guido Bertoldo, to the heart of the Geneva and La Côte-aux-Feux plants in February, where the company's models are made, finished and assembled. A true full immersion in one of the most complete manufactures on the Swiss scene, in contact with the watchmakers and factory managers, as well as with the brand's CEO, Philippe Léopold-Metzger, who presented them with certificates of attendance. The members' voices testify to the emotion of this visit: "I could start by saying: I have seen things that you humans could not imagine... (from Blade Runner). But I was able to verify the high technical quality and the great manual skill of the people who build and assemble the movements, embellish, encase and inspect Piaget watches' (Guido Bertoldo). An experience made even more precious for our members by the cordiality and helpfulness of the entire Piaget team: "I want to emphasise that I was not simply taken to the factories, but I 'lived' Piaget for two days: the staff of l'Orologio and the Maison staff gave us a welcome beyond all expectations, impeccable from the organisational point of view, exciting in terms of technical content and in any case such as to make us feel at ease in every situation" (Giampiero Di Ludovico). In fact, the trip was also made unique by the impeccable hospitality that Piaget reserved for the members, not only in terms of the watchmaking visit in the strict sense of the word, but also in terms of the warm welcome and extra activities that were often organised and that made this a truly unique experience.
