The L.U.C Engine One Tourbillon is now available in 18ct rose gold. Equipped with the L.U.C 04.01-L tourbillon movement, crafted like an engine block and mounted on real shock absorbers, the L.U.C Engine One Tourbillon Rose Gold is a refined and elegant tribute to the world of motor sports. Since 2010, the different versions of the L.U.C Engine One Tourbillon have stood out for their strong character and modern lines. The new 18 ct pink gold version adds a refined and elegant note to a resolutely sporty timepiece. A model that completes the series of these mechanical thoroughbreds celebrating the world of motor racing and performance. The watch comes with a brown alligator strap, hand-stitched and embellished with four reinforcements reminiscent of vintage car interiors, and has an 18 ct pink gold case that is water-resistant to 50 metres. The slightly contoured and screwed-on lugs, ergonomic rather than aerodynamic, are profiled like car wings to ensure maximum comfort on the wrist and give the case (35.4 x 44.4 mm) optimal presence. The dial is also inspired by the automotive world and is worked with transparency. Under the anti-reflective sapphire crystal, the Arabic numerals and hourmarkers are engraved and then coloured blue. The same colour is found on the seconds hands, the power reserve indicator hand and the movement screws. The contrasts created with the black rhodium-plated components of the mechanical movement markedly underline the sporty and elegant nature of this difficult-to-classify timepiece, at the crossroads between traditional haute horlogerie and concept watches. This new L.U.C Engine One Tourbillon is equipped with the L.U.C Manufacture calibre 04.01-L, a hand-wound tourbillon movement. Just like a car engine, the movement is mounted on three shock absorbers and is maintained by three lever arms inserted in the case middle. Designed, developed and manufactured by Chopard Manufacture, this calibre vibrates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and guarantees a 60-hour power reserve. The COSC-certified L.U.C 04.01-L movement, a guarantee of reliability and precision, displays the hours, minutes, small seconds and power reserve. On the plate, which depicts a reamed engine block, is the Chopard engraving in the purest style of the automobile tradition. The power-reserve display at 12 o'clock, also fixed directly to the top of the movement within a circular segment, is in line with the tourbillon bridge at 6 o'clock. The new L.U.C Engine One Tourbillon is produced in a limited series of 100 pieces.
