The Rado Ceramica watch has been awarded the Red Dot Product Design prize for 2017, demonstrating once again the company's great expertise in the use of materials and avant-garde design. Produced in a limited edition of just 701 pieces, this model signed by award-winning designer Konstantin Grcic stands out not only for its sandblasted finish, but also for the creative use of numerals on the dial. "In my opinion, the matt finish enhances the shape of the watch in a much more defined way," says Grcic. "The dial design has bold and legible lines. I took inspiration from pilot's watches; I like them for their simple and clear graphics." As its name suggests, the watch is made of hi-tech ceramic. Twenty models now make up the new Ceramica range: the latest arrivals feature, for the first time ever, automatic movements and hi-tech ceramic in grey.
