The latter, with his Hydroptère, shattered every speed record, sailing at 56.3 knots (104.27 km/h). To achieve this truly outstanding performance, the Hydroptère used wind power, a clean and renewable energy source, as its only fuel. Thébault's flying trimaran, with its carbon wings, encompasses a whole range of innovative technologies that convinced watch manufacturer Zenith to enter into this collaboration. On the skipper's wrist is the El Primero Striking 10th watch, a model that made the tenth of a second visible.
