On the occasion of the departure from Brescia of the famous Mille Miglia, held this year from 14 to 17 May and involving 375 vintage cars, built between 1927 and 1957, Chopard presented the new 1000 Miglia Chrono Limited Edition 2009. With a case 42 millimetres in diameter and a ruthenium dial that offers indications of hours, minutes, date, chrono hours, chrono minutes, continuous seconds and chrono seconds, the chronograph is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement, chronometer-certified by the COSC, that oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and guarantees a power reserve of up to 42 hours. It comes with a black rubber strap (echoing the Dunlop Racing tyre tread of the 1960s), fastened with a pin buckle, and is available in a limited edition of 2009 pieces in steel.
