To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Lange 1, every month A. Lange & Söhne will present a new 'Lange 1 Anniversary'. Just today in London, on the occasion of the opening of the new boutique, the Grande Lange 1 Moon Phase '25th Anniversary' produced in a limited series of 25 in white gold will be unveiled. For the first time, the watch places the moon disc, also in white gold and hand-engraved, in a predominant position on the silver-plated dial flanked by blue-printed numerals. This is perfectly matched by the blue alligator leather strap with grey stitching. Of all the moon-phase models from A. Lange & Söhne, the Grande Lange 1 Moon Phase is the one that offers the greatest scope for astronomical complication. To ensure design consistency, the Lange Grande Date has been proportionally enlarged by 4%. Through the sapphire glass back, one can admire the hand-decorated, twice-assembled L095.3 calibre with the typical features of the Lange 1 watch family. The three-quarter plate with Glashütte band polishing made of natural nickel silver frees the view of the balance wheel with screws and the balance spring developed and manufactured in-house. The hand-engraved balance bridge bears a special engraving: the number '25' in the typical Lange Great Date window, surrounded by a floral motif. In addition, all engraved recesses are coated in blue and thus take on a special relief.
