Arnold & Son: moon in XXL format

The new limited edition watch launched by Arnold & Son is called Perpetual Moon Obsidian. Its main feature is the presence of a large moon on a blue guilloché lacquered sky with silvered constellations: the star offers itself to the eye through a rounded window that forms a large part of a dial made of golden obsidian, a volcanic stone from Mexico with a very high silica content, which gives it hardness and lustre. In fact, the stone has the ability to reflect on the moon itself and on the grey gold diamond hour markers. The 42-millimetre red gold case houses the hand-wound A&S1512 calibre, naturally manufactured, which offers a display of the phases of the moon with an accuracy of 122 years, before the moon's appearance in the night sky deviates by one day. Equipped with a large barrel and an oscillating frequency of 3 Hz, it ensures a 90-hour power reserve. The watch comes with a blue alligator leather strap with silver stitching. Available in only 28 pieces, it is on sale for CHF 31,900.
