On 18 November, the newly elected AOL (Associazione Orafa Lombarda) Board Members - Nicola Catino, Giacomo Ferraris, Antonio Giovannetti, Giorgio Minuti, Guido Recalcati, Rodolfo Saviola, and Maurilio Savoldelli - met to elect the President and Vice President of the Watchmakers Repairers Category. Rodolfo Saviola, who received the most votes, declined - for personal reasons - the invitation of his colleagues to take over as President of the category. New votes were then taken and Maurilio Savoldelli was unanimously elected President, while Nicola Catino was elected Vice President of the category. Savoldelli, who was born in 1965 and is a member of Laboratorio Mazzucchi in Milan, began his training as an apprentice watchmaker in 1980 and has acquired considerable experience and professionalism in the field over the years, also thanks to specific training. His primary objective, together with that of the entire Watchmakers Repairers Council, is to carry on the battle to achieve "the freedom to request any brand of watches for the spare parts necessary to work and provide the right service to the customer: shopkeeper or private individual".
