Baume & Mercier - Clifton 1830 watches

Baume & Mercier's Sihh 2013 anticipations include the new Clifton 1830, which is the most faithful reinterpretation of the historic model that inspired the collection. Sober and essential, characterised by round volumes and sharp, well-defined lines, this model fits perfectly on the wrist. Proposed with an 18-carat red gold case with a polished and satin finish and a diameter of 42 millimetres, it houses an IWC-manufactured movement with manual winding (90-hour power reserve, balance oscillating at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, bridges decorated with côtes de Genève, circular-grained plate and delicately flame-blued steel screws), visible through the sapphire crystal opening on the caseback. Guaranteed water-resistant to a pressure of 5 atmospheres, it features a silvered opaline dial protected by a domed sapphire crystal whose chevé shape exactly reproduces that of the acrylic panes of watches of yesteryear.
